Teaching During/Beyond Quarantine is a curated website of SDSU-generated methods, approaches, and assignments for incorporating tools and critical digital literacy into the classroom. Initially created to support faculty in remote instruction during the pandemic, “Teach DH” evolved into an online repository of DH resources, tutorials, and virtual programming through Spring 2023. Launched in July 2020, the site enjoyed nearly 13,000 visits from more than 5,000 users in its first two years, with regular site visits continuing well into this academic year. “Teach DH” served as a critical resource during the height of the pandemic, supporting a range of instruction and community needs by making DH pedagogy processes visible and thereby adaptable.
The website was originally created (quickly and out of urgency) by Jessica Pressman in June 2020, with support from Pamella Lach and Harmit Chima. We continued to grow the site, particularly as an archive of virtual events and programs, throughout and beyond quarantine.
